Nashville and Diego

I know these two topics sound strange together but that's just what's going on around the yale house lately. First off, we are very excited to be expecting a niece or nephew in March!!! I have nicknamed the baby Diego since my brother and sister in law live south of the border. This will be our first niece or nephew so we can't wait to spoil little diego rotten. You can check out my brother or sister in laws blogs for updates on the baby (Jason and Sarah). Congrats ya'll! We love ya.
We went to Nashville this weekend for our friend Chad's wedding. It was so good seeing everyone. I think a good time was had by all. The band was awesome and we just had fun hanging out. Thanks Chad and Meghan for such a great time!

I have been meaning to post about AK walking for a week but we have been busy. She officially took her first steps on July 6. She is really starting to take off now. She will still crawl most of the time but we are getting there. Here are a few more pics of the party.

Yesterday was Joe's 29th birthday. Today is AK's 1st birthday. I can't believe 1 year ago we had AK!!!! What a fun and crazy year. I don't want to forget a second of it. It makes me want to cry that she is already a year old! We are thrilled to share another year now with our little girl!

Happy 1st Birthday Anna Kate!!!!

Well, our little girl is turning 1 on Wednesday. We had her party this weekend. We had a wonderful time with lots of friends and family. The party was red, white and blue themed. Everyone seemed to have a great time. We had toys inside and kiddie pools and sprinklers outside. AK was in heaven with lots of other kids to play with and her entourage (grandparents/aunt) to dote on her. She definitely was queen bee on her big day. She didn't really like the cake too much. I don't think she likes getting her hands too dirty!

This year has gone by so fast. Joe and I both feel so blessed to have Anna Kate in our lives. She is the most precious gift God could have given to us. Joe and I are just trying to cherish every moment because I know they are gone before you know it. AK has an adorable personality and keeps us laughing every day. She is a joy and I don't know what life would be like without her. We love you Anna Kate and Happy Birthday!
